Welcome to the Friends of Holme School!
Friends of Holme School is a small but active group dedicated to supporting the school socially and financially throughout the year.
We choose to operate informally so that the families and other supporters are able to help as much or as little as they are able. There are many things you can do to help us, from attending occasional meetings (at the pub!), helping at events, printing flyers or even baking the odd cake!
Each year, we aim to provide a programme of social and fundraising events including family fun days, clothing collections and the famous Holme School Summer BBQ! We are also involved in the organisation of The Summer Wine Trails – a bi-annual trail race in the beautiful Holme Valley.
Over the years, we have raised thousands of pounds for Holme School and have been able to pay for many things, including school trips, IT equipment and improvements to the playground.
All parents, grandparents, ex-students or community members interested in supporting our wonderful school are welcome, feel free to contact one of us via the school office to find out more!
