Vision

At Holme our vision is to develop pupils who approach physical education with aspiration, adventure, and creativity. We aim to nurture resilient individuals who embrace challenges with confidence and determination, respectful learners who value teamwork and inclusivity, and independent thinkers who take ownership of their fitness and well-being.

Through these values, we aspire to inspire a generation that leads active, healthy, and fulfilling lives, using physical education as a foundation for success in all aspects of life.

Aspirational: We inspire pupils to set ambitious personal goals and strive for excellence in all aspects of physical activity. Whether mastering a new skill, improving performance, or developing a lifelong passion for movement, we encourage pupils to challenge themselves, celebrate progress, and pursue their potential with determination and enthusiasm.

Adventurous: Physical education provides opportunities for pupils to step outside their comfort zones, try new activities, and embrace challenges with confidence. We foster a spirit of adventure, encouraging exploration in different sports, outdoor pursuits, and fitness challenges that build courage, adaptability, and a love for movement.

Creative: Movement is an expression of creativity, and we encourage pupils to think innovatively in physical education. From choreographing routines to strategizing in games, we cultivate a space where pupils experiment, problem-solve, and develop unique approaches to physical challenges, enhancing both their physical and cognitive skills.

Resilient: Success in physical activity often comes through perseverance. We teach pupils the value of resilience by encouraging them to embrace setbacks as opportunities for growth. Whether refining a technique, pushing through fatigue, or overcoming obstacles, pupils develop mental and physical endurance that extends beyond sport and into all areas of life.

Respectful: Respect is at the core of physical education—respect for oneself, for others, and for the rules of the game. We promote inclusivity, sportsmanship, and teamwork, ensuring that all pupils feel valued and supported. By fostering an environment of mutual respect, we empower pupils to work collaboratively and celebrate each other’s successes.

Independent: We equip pupils with the skills and confidence to take responsibility for their own physical well-being. By developing self-discipline, motivation, and a proactive approach to fitness, pupils learn to make informed decisions about their health and engage in physical activity as a lifelong pursuit.
