Care Crew

At Holme School, mental health and wellbeing is very important to us. In December 2024 we reached out to the children to see who would like to form our new Care Crew. We had such a great response and so our Care Crew formed and is made up of children from KS2. They will help organise events, nurture the mental health and wellbeing of our pupils and local community.  

Miss Talbot is leading the Care Crew and meets up with the crew once/twice a month to gather ideas and implement those ideas. 

So far we have designed posters looking at what items we as a community and school can help our local Food Bank with. We have so far collected a great selection of food boxes thanks to our generous parents and plan to take these down to the foodbank in our school mini bus. 

This will be a great experience for our Care Crew to present our donations and see how the foodbanks and their volunteers help our community. 

We also plan on creating a worry box and will be looking at presenting an assembly to the rest of the school.
